Start with the names. Both firms put CPA in theirs, and neither license is verified here. The Texas State Board of Public Accountancy doesn't allow automated lookups, so the credentials row reads Not verified for both. That's a limit of what we could check, not a finding against either firm. Until you've looked each one up on the board's own search, treat them as bookkeeping providers.

• You run a restaurant or a shop: Cooper names restaurants and retail. Chery Finn's list leans to service businesses such as consultants, attorneys, engineers and healthcare professionals.
• You care how long the business has existed: the Texas Comptroller shows Cooper Group, LLC chartered in 2017 and Chery Finn CPAs PLLC in October 2025. A new entity can still be run by experienced people, so ask.

On the first call with Chery Finn, ask how it prices ongoing monthly work, since the quote language we found is about catch-up jobs. Ask whether it takes remote clients and how you reach your bookkeeper between reports.

With Cooper, ask who handles your bills and invoices, whether statements come monthly, and whether a licensed CPA reviews your books. If one does, get the license number and check it.
